Sierra Leonean and former Chelsea defender Aziz Deen-Conteh has signed a two-year deal with Greek top tier league club Ergotelis FC as a free agent on Tuesday.

The deal comes almost three months after the 20-year old was released by English Premier League team and former European Champions Chelsea.

The left back told Ergotelis FC official website: "I am very happy that I came to Ergotelis. I hope it will be a wonderful year for the team and for me.”

“People of Ergotelis embraced me from day one and this is very important. I think that this year will be for me a chance to play and grow, helping the team to achieve its goals.

I want to get as high as possible and will give you everything about it.”  Aziz Deen-Conteh had a trial with English club Millwall in July before he transferred to his new club. He joined Chelsea at the age of 13 years and ended up playing for the Reserve team before he departed the London club.

He was a member of Chelsea’s UEFA Champion's League squad for the 2012–13 season, though he did not make an appearance for them.

At international level Deen-Conteh had played represented England at youth international level, appearing for both the U16 and U19 teams as he grew up in London.

He committed his international football to Sierra Leone in March this year, but is yet to be given the permission by world’s football governing body, FIFA to play for his country of origin and birth.
